FAQ
If you have a child in the band, YOU are a band booster.
A Band Booster organization supports the school band by providing volunteers, funding, and community engagement. Boosters help raise money for instruments, uniforms, competitions, travel, and special events, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.
They coordinate activities such as fundraising events, concession stands, trip planning, hospitality, and behind-the-scenes support at performances. By working closely with band directors and families, Band Boosters strengthen the program, build school spirit, and create meaningful opportunities for student musicians.
Parents and families play an essential role in the success of the band program, and there are many ways to get involved in the Band Boosters. Families can volunteer at events, help run concession stands, assist with fundraising activities, chaperone trips, or support students during performances and competitions.
No musical experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, every contribution makes a difference. By joining the Band Boosters, families become part of a supportive community that enriches the band experience for all students and strengthens the program for years to come.
Fundraising is essential for keeping our band program strong and fully supported. The money raised helps pay for uniforms, instruments, equipment, travel, competition fees, and student events. Our two biggest fundraisers are running the concession stand at high school football games and hosting the Miss Trion Pageant, with a few smaller fundraisers held throughout the year as needed. Because every student benefits from these funds, student participation in fundraising is mandatory and family involvement is always appreciated.
